You and your childhood friends run Drøbak kystlag. How can visitors to Drøbak experience the fjord with you?

Drøbak Kystlag has several boats that we lend free of charge to anyone who wants it. We provide training in boat use and guide those who have no previous experience. We collaborate with schools, kindergartens, organisations and institutions to get more people to experience coastal outdoor life. Our mission is to make the fjord accessible to as many people as possible.

What’s the best thing about living in Drøbak?

Apart from the salt water, it is of course the people who live here. The maritime history and the small housing estates in Gamle Drøbak create an important framework for what we do.

Do you have any island favourites?

Bergholmen, Furuholmen and Askholmen are often visited. They have different qualities depending on the seasons. We’re at sea all year round. Even on Christmas Eve!

What does a perfect Sunday in Drøbak look like for you?

A perfect Sunday always starts at home with the kids and family. Whether we go for a walk on the fjord or just stroll down Vindfangerbukta bay is really no big deal. Being together is the most important thing.

Want to share some hidden gems?

There are some fantastic places in the fjord that hardly anyone in Drøbak has discovered yet. Places we believe offer absolutely fantastic nature experiences. Join the coastal team on a trip and you’ll see!
