Coastal cabins in the Oslofjord
There are also several Coastal cabins you can rent via Oslofjordens Friluftsråd, on the islands outside Drøbak. On both Håøya and Bergholmen there are nice coastal cabins of all sizes.
The family favourite Lågøya
Experience the scenic cabin paradise of Lågøya in the Oslofjord, which can be reached by Ruter boat.
Family favourite Lågøya offers accommodation in cosy cabins run jointly by Oslofjorden friluftsråd and DNT Oslo og Omegn. The island, which is one kilometre long, has great hiking areas, family-friendly swimming bays and a small playground. Sparebankstiftelsen DNB bought Lågøya from Circle K in 2022 – and the aim is to make the island and the cabins accessible to everyone.
Guest harbour and other accommodation
In the coastal town of Drøbak, there are several idyllic guest harbours, both in Drøbak and at Oscarsborg.
For other types of accommodation, we recommend sleeping in a hammock, either in Frognmarka or along the coast. Frogn has a lot of open land that is ideal for spending the night outdoors. There are also a good number of apartments that are rented out throughout the year via various channels, including Airbnb.
Campervans
Campervans can park in municipal parking areas outside the city centre, as long as they stay within the lines.
Camping is not permitted at Sjøtorget. There are 4 spaces at Molo B, Havnegata 15. These parking spaces are larger than a regular parking space.
Overnight stays are not permitted, as the law states that there must be at least 4 metres between each parking space before overnight stays can be permitted.
Campervans and motorhomes can empty septic tanks at Husvikveien 58, by the pumping station.
You are also allowed to stand on Skiphellestranden (free, 24 hours).
