What was it that made you settle in Drøbak?

I followed the “load” to Drøbak, when the family moved here in 1967. Got to know the city and the fjord and liked me here. Beautiful buildings and surroundings by the fjord that invited many activities and interests.

Drøbak is an artist city. What should art lovers do when they visit Drøbak?

It is beautiful here with old buildings and nature. Several other artists live and work in the city. Several galleries to visit. A short journey to Oslo.

What does a perfect day in Drøbak look like for you?

A good working day with drawing, graphics and painting. Or just strolling around, swimming, taking a boat trip in the Vestfjord with the family. Meeting good friends.

Drøbak is known for its beautiful wooden buildings and you yourself have been active in the Conservation Association in Drøbak for a number of years. Which streets and houses should visitors see when they visit Old Drøbak?

You have also illustrated many well-known children’s books. Do you have any tips for those who visit Drøbak with children?

The aquarium, the library, the beach, fishing crabs, eating ice cream, swimming. And don’t forget Follo Museum!
